Auto significant Tata Motors today started another variant of its
premium hatchback "Vista" and said it plans to expand piece of the
overall industry from the present nine for every penny in traveler autos
and vans section. "Our market share at the national level is close to
about nine per cent of passenger cars and vans included. With this new
product obviously we are looking at increasing our share," Tata Motors
Ltd Senior Vice President Passenger Vehicle Unit (Commercial) Ankush
Arora told reporters here. He said "In the last few months our share has
certainly gone up, with the introduction of CNG product in the select
market, and with the introduction of Nano Twist and the Vista Tech we
see our share going up in the coming months."
Hereby, the company recently introduced the launch of new Tata Vista VX Tech evaluated at Rs 6.12 lakh, (ex-showroom Bangalore) and Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Commenting on sales of Vista, Arora said "Currently we are doing about 3,000 to 3,200 units of Vista every month; we are certainly looking at increasing the volume with the launch of Vista Tech."
Without putting any numbers he said "....our expectation is that with the Vista Tech- that number will increase, and Vista Tech would add incremental volume to that base line number."
Simultaneously, the Vista scope will now have three variants - LS, LX and VX.
In the mean time in Hyderabad on the launch, Ashesh Dhar, National Sales Head (South and East), Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors, said that new 'Vista VX Tech' has best-in-class characteristics and most recent innovation, which offer incredible driver encounter and come pressed with high-end features at par.
He said Tata Motors has shut 8 for every penny piece of the overall industry in the Passenger vehicles market. Dhar further said Vista is the fourth biggest brand in Andhra Pradesh."With new launches scheduled at Auto Expo (at Delhi in February), we do expect newer launches to contribute to larger volumes and better market share. This year's big for Tata Motors," Dhar said.
